BlogathonATX

Super duper excited today!  BlogathonATX is a much needed bright spot in my week (as if finishing the first draft of my first novel wasn't enough!).  It's really the most incredible thing.  Lots of fun and great people.

The first time I went to BlogathonATX was last year.  I was a volunteer and I had created my first blog, Running On Heavy, a month before I attended.  I was new to the blogging world and was absolutely clueless as to what I should be doing.

The friend that encouraged me to volunteer was (is) involved with BlogathonATX and she thought that even though I was new to the blogging world, it would be a great opportunity for me to learn and grow.   Attending was the best decision I could have made. 

Not only did I learn a lot, but I met so many great people along the way as a result of it.  Those new friends have led me to new blogging opportunities that I never, ever expected to have. 

I am ready to take my writing, blogging and freelance work to the next level.  It's something that I am passionate about and that I KNOW I can do.  I am taking this time to really fine tune my writing and my style.  And people are responding in such a positive way.  It's a wonderful thing and I am ready to go!
